We sailed from Kusadasi to Marmaris overnight, we were out of bed early to watch the sun come up between the islands as we sailed into Marmaris Harbour, the views were picturesque, well worth our early morning rise. We had to vacate our rooms by 9am, we left the ship about noon, bused it to Dalaman ready to board ...

Market Madness

A travel blog entry by chargrieco on Aug 04, 2014

Our first day in Turkey was a very chilled one by the pool. Today, however, we decided to venture to Hisarönü (a 40 minute walk away) for their local market. The Bonetkoning was built in 2005 and is completely computerized and state of the art. I had no idea you could put a boat like it on auto pilot and then change its course with a mouse. We had seen pictures of the boat online but in person it was even more beautiful and very ...

Tony greeted us with a "Kalimera" almost as warm as the morning Rhodes sun. What a beautiful place! We drove around the bay to the marina where we saw the site of our second wonder of the ancient world this trip, the foot rests of the Colossus. Today the home of the two mascots of the Rodos people, the Male and Female Deer. Its also the home of the largest church in Rhodes with such an impressive interior the kids converted to catholicism on ...
