The Cathedral took 632 years to complete. During the war, 90% of the central city was destroyed. Eau de cologne was originated here in 1709 by the Farina family. An hour drive from Trier, we finally reached Koblenz. Got to see a piece of Berlin wall, had a typical German meal Schweinshaxe (Pork Knuckle with mashed potato and Sauerkraut) pair with a local beer! Yum!
