Around 8:26 we climbed off our train and beat it to Platform 3 as noted on our ticket. The train was scheduled to leave at 8:36 - schedule a bit tight but no biggie. BUT, as it turned out, the train for that platform was not headed to Koln. A quick question to a DB agent told that our platform was 8 and not 3. ... astonishing grandeur I was exhausted but well pleased with my day. I decided to use the public transport that Germany has to offer and took a tram one block from the cathedral to Barbarossaplats stop just 2 minutes from my hotel. In total it took me fourteen minutes, and cost just two Eurp, to get back instead of twenty five of walking and although this doesn’t seem much quicker the fact that I could relax for about ten minutes was tremendously appreciated. ...
