The elderly couple managed to climb 533 steps to the top of Cologne Cathedral this morning so despite the adverse comments yesterday we are not quite dead yet. We ate dinner with a group from the hostel who was already in the kitchen. They were all drinking and wanted us to go out and join them. We just kind of laughed and said thank you but no. We had better plans and it involved us, two forks and one Viennetta. That is correct. We ate an entire ice cream cake. We could not store it because there was no freezer. John has been wanting one since the first time we were in Ecuador in 2007.

Fantastic Friday! A day to myself whilst Adrienne rested and took a break from looking after me. After the domestics of washing dishes and doing laundry, took myself off to the Dom to climb the stairs to the top. What an experience! ...
