... called Melk. The guided tour today was to be of the Benedictine Abbey up on the hill. It was a strikingly pretty yellow color which I thought wasn't typical for an Abbey. Then I found out about the museum they had there, the school that housed 900+ students, and the extensive library, and it made more sense. It was a beautiful place! The museum housed an ornate cross that supposedly housed a splinter from the cross of the crucifixion. ...

... long day as we went to Salzburg for the day. Finally left Germany and crossed Into Austria. Salzburg was lovely but wet. On the way, we had a beer tasting that commenced at 10.00am. Only the boys participated in that one. We then went to the Sound of Music summerhouse and had to sing "Sixteen going on Seventeen". ... streets. I am living in a apartment about 10 minutes from my university, which funny enough, is located above a meat shop. The hallways constantly smell of various deli meats, which is not the greatest smell to wake up to, but we seem to be adjusting.
