... of tournaments - table tennis (oh…Germans are freaking crazy good at that ****!) and a fuse ball tournament (and the Germans are freaking crazy good at that too!) The only regret was the lack of the all inclusive (nudist) spa.

So finally on our last day there - we found out that most of the guests were gone…seems that the Germans and the Austrians went on this crazy eight hour hike. And it was then, and only then that I introduced Wade to the naked ...

I did a whole lot of research yesterday which counted for nothing today as we completely changed our plans. I was going to take Kerry to some ice caves and the pretty town of Helstatt but it meant a bit of back tracking and we decided to push on towards Croatia. As regards our Romanian holiday we have booked our accommodation, a real mixture of smart(ish) hotels, wayside B&Bs and self catering. We have the outline of a route-around 4000 kms in total taking us over the Transalpina and the Transfagarasan via a few castles all the way to the Danube Delta on the Black Sea and back via the Iron Gate Gorge,Belgrade and Zargreb.

... the Austrian Alpine region and the route we decided on involved a lot of highway running, boring but necessary to cover larger distances. Fortunately we rode the majority of the trip once again through the Alps and the scenery never failed to amaze Marg and I. The Austrians showed off their engineering ability with an unbelievable road network including tunnels longer than 5km bored directly through some of the mountains, an amazing building ...
