      ... around and headed into the first place that seemed like it had decent enough food. We got some excellent food in and headed towards our AirBnB apartment, picking up some chocolate on the way there.

      ... the town. It was damaged but not obliterated like most towns along the coast. All they worry about now is radiation sickness from the damaged power plants not far away. Our friend never mentioned this! no wonder there weren't many tourists. They're down about 75% from the usual 3 million a year. Too bad because it's really lovely.       ... Bay where we could almost not find our hotel, but it was beautifully located on a small hill overlooking the Matsushima bay with the small islands.

      We immediately were exploring the island that was accessible by the bridge and to capture some of the pictures when the sun was setting.

      The hotel and onsen were really nice and the meal was excellent. All variety of sea food nicely prepared overlooking the bay -- just nice

      ... in the audience, when normally the building would seat 6000 people, it currently only has about 20 in it. another downside of this, is that the building staff have not turned the air conditioning on in the building yet, other than our change rooms, so when we are out on the ice in full costume under show lights, it get very very hot and sweaty with the humidity here in Japan.
