... night time I was practically putting my foot down about having Hard Rock. I'm obsessed, I know, but the food really is that good. Especially in comparison to everything else I've had so far this holiday. And besides, we are on holiday after all. We also got to see the Kecak Ramayana and Fire Dance at the temple, which was one of the tippety top stand out moments to date. Imagine the open air Minack theatre in Cornwall, in 24 degrees, with a balmy evening wind, overlooking the Indian Ocean at sunset, and a riot of colour and noise springing ...

She stopped just short of crying - at least I did not take the insult personally. 11:30AM saw mom and dad doing water aerobics for an hour with lots of arm movements and laughing as I tried to keep in rhythm. At the ...

This island and it's people are amazing. The courses I've completed were challenging in ways they were designed to be, and also in ways that were specific to my own expectations. If I can carry with me a fraction of the equanimity I've been able to cultivate here, life at home will be vastly different. Perhaps not from the outside, but certainly my inner life will be.

I've learned that yoga, like my other life-altering 'discoveries' (Buddhism, music, midwifery), ...

... on the northwest point on Nusa Penida called Ped. The other 5 certified divers went first into the water with one dive instructor and Maria and I stayed to get more instruction from Ellie and Jarda. We each had a 1:1 instructor since Maria has only dove once and if was my first time. We put on our gear and it was incredibly heavy trying to move to the edge of the boat with our tanks and weight belts. Once everything was hooked up and the air was on, we sat at the ...
