    ... Ron had to brake hard, to miss hitting him and squishing him up against his truck door. All we got from him was a wave...duh!!! Two seconds later and we would not have been able to stop! That was way too close for comfort! So, once we regained our composure, we decided the guy was lucky to be alive...and we would drive in the centre lane from now on...     We left Birch Villa at 8:15 a.m., Central Time. Even though we sent a few things home with Mom & Dad, our car seems fuller. I can't understand why…I mean, we only added several clothes purchases, 20 quart sized bags of frozen fish, a case of ForestEdge wine, and a kitten (plus litter, kitty food, etc)!     ... six fish to take home. After fishing, we helped Dad take the boat out of the lake. Beth and I keep trying to get Dad to slow down, but he insists on doing things himself, even if it results in a little tumble now and then.     ... Shortly after that I got a text that the Dempsey/Hazelton family had landed in Toronto...now they have to get themselves up to Muskoka. Now that it is just the two of us and enough food to feed 5 people for the next 3 days...we managed to put in an 8 hour day and have landed at the KOA in Bemidji, Minnesota.     ... mean thousands! The wonderful thing is that you can sit quietly and look at the water which is, of course, everywhere and not hear any noise from cars or trucks! It is sooo quiet and different and absolutely wonderful! They have a very short (2 to 3 month) season. They then move most of the horses off the island because the lakes completely freeze!
