    Day 33 - To Cambodia

A travel blog entry by katiejgoodwin on Jun 09, 2015

... Managed to hold til we landed then went to the toilet straight away and liked up all the chicken. Nice. Got picked up by a nice tuk tuk driver. He was talking about my last name and starts saying stuff like good-man, good woman, batman, spiderman, then says i spiderman! He's just random and cute and funny - I now call him spiderman! The tuktuk drive to the hostel was so interesting. Compared to Bangkok where we just came from... Well compared to anywhere ...

... mostly located in that area and was about a 30 minute walk. I probably should have rented a motorcycle but one guy I talked to got into an accident and had to pay 25,000 baht for damages so I was second guessing renting one here. ... hour waiting, and an even more squeezed ferry to Koh Tao. They had a sign that advertises that they always have spots available on the boat, but I'm pretty sure they had double the allowed capacity on that boat...but the busiest part of it was getting off the boat at arrival in Koh Tao.

First hundreds of bags stacked in the pier for pick up, and then hundreds of people getting off the boat, finding their ...

Ko Tao - A different pace of life

... in my head of Ko Tao was of a permanently relaxed pace of life and if anything a kind of Lilt advert esque feel but in Thailand, I had visions of people scuba diving, relaxing on the beach or relaxing in the bars in the evening. This was not entirely untrue, the exception being that if you wanted nightlife it was not hard to find it and if you wanted tranquility on the beach at night you would have to travel to one of the other beaches on the island as the main beach pumped out ...
