... and they were always delicious and not sickly sweet like you would think! The bad thing was Chris' other favorite place was Paddy Palms Irish Bar in White Sand Beach, a 15min drive away. So if we were going there we could only have one cocktail at Little Tree and she was always sad to see us leave. Most nights we were her only customers!

Paddy Palms was an Irish Bar that served awesome food, who knew there would be amazing steak ...
Ko Chang, Thailand kytravels... and through lunch due to the cooler temperatures. We expected to need a siesta, but never hit the previous day's 36 degrees peak. We had a stroke of luck to see Angkor Wat at midday because all the tour groups had left to return to their hotels or restaurants for the lunch hour. So the only folks touring were couples with a tour guide or just single tourists strolling the grounds. It really was surprisingly quiet. Angkor ...
Koh Chang, Thailand willa_andrew... Beach Resort. Next to us are the KB Bungalows (sometimes spelled KP Bungalows). Those are more expensive, but all the bungalows are made of teak wood. Our beachfront bungalow is modern with tiles and ceramics. We are into our fifth day of beach life, and are loving it. In the next couple of days, we will pry ourselves away from our little patch of sand and start to take some snorkeling, diving, and trekking trips.
Ko Chang, Thailand tonyandbecky... dressed in bright red and wearing funny hats wishing them a Merry Christmas. Very funny for me though, never thought it would be so meting I would do, we were then made to say Happy Christmas to the whole school in Assembly and then make them sing Jingle Bells, which they all know, so go them! had to teach first lesson, but when I say teach it was more lets just play games, played Musical chairs and Board slap and many others, such a laugh! Had a party with P'Kwan's class ...
Ko Chang, Thailand hannah_davies... early :) Cherdchai Bus Company took care of us with water, biscuits and coke every hour for those who wanted it. Hollywood movies (dubbed in Thai), and comfortable seats - a step up from the Cambodian karaoke we experienced last time we were in this neck of the woods. And all that for the princely sum of 281B each, not bad for a 5 1/2 hour bus ride. They've moved the bus station out of town, so we took a Song Thaew for 20B each from the ...
Trat, Thailand varney... We put up a Happy 30th banner in the bar and had cake which Rosie bought in the village after dinner. The Thais all wanted to go to Lonely Beach to a party so 8 of us hopped in the back of the pickup and drove up there, already half drunk. We listened to **** trance music and watched a cool fireshow, very Thai. The Thais caned as many Mekong whisjky buckets as the could before we got picked up and a couple didn't show for work in the morning. Next day we had to ...
Koh Chang, Thailand warty007... side of the highway. This time another bus pulled up alongside and they transferred us and all of our luggage onto a local bus. We were crammed in and some sat in the aisles and it smelled absolutely horrible. A few hours later we drop off all the locals and we are heading to the ferry pier when mid conversation with some people from Maple Ridge, a loud bang occurs and ONCE AGAIN we are stopped on the side of the highway ...
Ko Chang, Thailand mwallz... guests can enjoy hiking in the rainforests, elephant trekking, fishing, sailing, snorkling and diving. Day trips to the surrounding islands can easily be arranged and there are two multi-level waterfalls with refreshing pools to swim in. In addition after a day of activities, guests can enjoy sheer pampering at the Sivara Spa. Once a traditional fishing village, Bang Bao Beach is both a ...
Trat, Trat, Thailand zonehitz... thankfully had the decency to stay outside on the balcony, it was really lovely.

Our ‘Babboon hut’ was the cheapest hut available at only $20 a night; other options were the Chimpanzee or Gorilla hut, which were more expensive but also provided more amenities and A/C. With only a fan and a par-for-the-course mosquito net protecting the bed ours was perfectly adequate, the vibrant blue and red sheets were a nice touch and the entire room was beautifully finished ...
Ban Ko Mak, Phangnga, Thailand yamahuh... inches at each high tide. His boat was a small standard skiff but had a large bright-red and brand-new engine strapped onto the back which went some way towards explaining the high cost of the fishing trips he had failed to get us to partake in.

We shot out of the mangroves with one of Mr Manop's staff handling the boat. There was a lagoon-like area containing small fishing settlements on stilts that we had to cross before heading slightly out to sea and then down the ...
