The Quck Turn in Nagoya

We did the usual disembarkation and re-boarding to go through security in Nagoya. I threw the Japanese quarantine inspectors into a tizzy. I saw there was no line for the security checkpoint and didn't see them at the far end of where the line normally is, so I jumped the barrier and almost violated their quarantine. The decided I didn't have swine flu and let me through. I had only a few minutes between when I got to the gate and we started to board.
Ise Jingu: Exclusive Spirituality

A restless night of strange furniture rearranging upstairs until 3AM, so I rolled out of bed exhausted way too early. And suffered the consequences trying to navigate the many, many private railways in Osaka (more on this to follow).

But I did manage to drop my bags off at the new hostel and catch the right trains to Ise-shi (Ise city) in Mie Prefecture, which is 2 leisurely hrs away by train from Osaka. ... around, or tame what ever way you see it, as you can feed the little buggers. The place has some of Japans oldest buildings, a huge large Buddha and old moss gardens full on stone temples. So chilled there for the day and on the way back stopped at Inari, known for its rows of torii, which are the large gates. These led a path through more bamboo forests and I spent the afternoon just taking in more of the amazing surroundings of Kyoto and Japan.

biggest wood structure in the world

... Which is what at time makes me love traveling alone, like when my trip to Hiroshima... None the less it was still a good day overall, nothing very exciting just temple tourism, i think if you want some good stories you can take a few days off from reading my blogs and come back once I'm in Thailand or Cambodia, where the weathers nice the beaches are warm and the women are pretty :D (i hope)

... temple are filled with a mass of nutty deer that jump you at the sight of cookies. They also eat maps, gloves and all sorts of **** you offer them without realising it. The monster of a temple and sculpted buddha's inside were the best I've seen so far in any of the countries visited. The enormity of it all was awesome. There was a hole in one of the temple columns where people were squeezing through. This is supposedly the same size as the main buddhas nostril (just to give you ...

Mountain of Monkeys

... watch two monkeys fooling around for so long, especially when they get fed up with all the picture taking and wander back into the cover of the lush undergrowth. As we continued, with the occasional sound of monkey shouting erupting from the canopy of trees, I couldn't help but feel hundreds of eyes staring at me. When we finally broke through the trees at the top of the forest, it was evident why. In this dirt, grass, and hay covered area were dozens upon dozens of ...

... Dum-Dum lollipop. Most of the drinks are made by companies best known in America for beer and Sake, like Asahi, Suntory, and Kirin. Wai ended up with some weird energy drink produced by a pharmaceutical company, which disturbed us all. I'd never seen much history older than the American colonial period, most of which was reconstruction. Some earthworks and mounds throughout the Ohio Valley, but other than that, visits to Salem and Williamsburg were my only personal connections ...
