... however, was all about learning and explaining Korean history, and the way that life was like during the Joseon period (1300ish to mid 1800s). If you are in Seoul and have time/bandwidth/patience for only one museum I highly recommend the National Folk Museum.
After that we were ready for lunch, so we headed up to another LP recommended joint, Tosokchon. There is one thing on the menu at Tosokchon (besides cabbage and radish kimchi, of course ...
... out that my job would consist of the students, rotating into my class once a week, which meant i would have to prep and teach 20 different classes a week, memorizing 200 different names and correcting 200 papers! maybe that's normal, but to this novice that seemed like more than i had bargained for. so i quit. kudos to mrs. c and professor h. i don't tknow how you do it...the kicking and screaming and ...
Osan, Gyeonggi, Korea Rep. ironswan... same cost as the bus.
However, the best piece of luck greeted us on the airplane; we had been upgraded to business/first class! We were given a glass of champagne almost as soon as we sat down. Then we were treated to a 5 course dinner of smoked salmon, prawns, steak, cheese, Haagan Daaz ice cream and red wine. An amazing start to our holiday. We couldn’t stop smiling at our luck, so much so that Ewan said his cheeks hurt.
... I post the pictures - Chaos!
So after the dog cafe, the plan was to get some food because with all of the rushing around we had forgotten to eat so far today, however by this time we had met up with 15 or so friends and fellow teachers of Tara & Brian's so, knowing a good bar around the corner that served "the best" (and by that I actually found it means the most alcohol laced) Long island ice tea, we headed there and the ...
... died. He said that for South Koreans who fought/lived through the civil war (i.e. those in their 70s) there is a strong emotional attachment and desire for unification.
For younger S. Koreans especially those in their teens – 30s there is greater concern for how much unification will cost “us”. S. Korea does have an early warning system and other contingencies.
It was a good session.
... one about God. And the captions on the pictures are pretty good too. I think the one with God on the menu said something like, “Tastes so good, you’ll need to repent!” Ha ha. So browse the sight for a laugh or two. It never fails me. They come out with new ones every Friday, I think, but you can view the previous weeks for many months back.

... rest of their trip wasn't great. I'm a hard taskmaster when it comes to my tour guide duties, and I wanted to do a bit of cultural sightseeing while the sun was shining... We took the subway to Insadong for a stroll along the souvenir street, then continued on to Gyeonbokgung which is Seoul's most impressive sight in my opinion. I'd never visited on a weekday before, and even I was surprised at the number of schoolchildren there. I lost count of the number of times I ...

But hey New Guy's got great colour. It won't be long before he's gone too." "I thought so too but New Guys been preaching about not having any worries about going anytime soon for any of us. He's been barking about something he heard the monkeys talking about ...
Seoul, Korea Rep. morpheous... Koreans have heated flooring in all there homes instead of a heater. So the heat rises as it tackles your chilly feet first! I really like that idea. I also have a space heater, but I am hesitant to use it until I have to. Last night I slept in sweat pants, a sweat shirt with the hood on, and socks and I slept fine. Way too much light comes though the windows though. Even at night, all the light from busy city below come flooding into my room. I need to invest in ...
Seoul, Korea Rep. april.abate... guard duty in a taekwondo stance with both fists clenched and they wear dark ray-ban glasses to prevent eye contact.... the effect is pretty intimidating. Then we went to one of the tunnels that the N. Koreans built in the 70's to try an invade the south
