There a lot of people spending a lot of time here so the atmosphere isn't that of other places. The staff however were amazingly friendly!

Feel grubby in the communal areas.

Shane the tour guide picked us up from the hostel on a 27 seated bus that was nearly full by the last pick up. He …

5.30 am the Greyhound pulled into Cairns. I had pretty fat ankles and stiff legs, but I was in great spirits compared to grumpo Milnes who reported waking through the night every 10 minutes. I always bagsie the window so David only has me to lean on and my shoulders aren't the most comfortable, even with a blow up pillow. < …

... to be shifted in this colossal task. It rises 328 metres through tropical rainforrest. When we reached Kuranda, we had a walk around the town and had some lunch, I had crocodile curry, and it tasted like beef. After lunch, we went to the open avary bird sanctury, it was really cool, and you could have birds sit on your arm, shoulder, or head while you hand feed them. They were really cheeky, and would steal ear-rings, buttons, and even attacked ...

... was feeding them so that made it even cooler. After that we had lunch. It was weird some of the things on their menu, one of the dishes was Marinated Crocodile with Mango Chutney! I didn't really want to eat that, 1 because crocodile is a very strange thing to eat, and 2 you eat your food over looking the crocodiles. So I choose a Beef Pie. Then we went to the Crocodile Farm. It was so cute there was baby crocodiles everywhere! It's really hot up here it got to 27 degrees C ...
