I seriously can't handle the heat! Or humidity rather! I am consistently drenched in sweat. Cairns is awesome. I'm here for a while and glad- there is so much to do and my hostel is great. Today they offered free shuttles to the botanic gardens (though 3 hrs is overkill and I now have to wait an hour for pick up) and on Monday they have a free shuttle to the local swimming hole! Today started out a bit slowly- we slept in, and did not get moving until about 11am. This felt late, since our plan was to get out of Cairns and drive to see some of the sites in the region. Nate had made a car reservation, and we finally got moving just before noon. Luckily, however, this meant that we bumped into our friend from the reef, Ellye.
