... congregate at the better stops. On the way into Innsbruck Bern decided to do a side trip up to the ski jump that was built for the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics. Of course being up high it have us a fabulous view over the city. ... suicide 300 English bombers came over the mountain and bombed the housing complex into oblivion, and missed only the Eagles Nest, which luckily was saved for future generations to march over. This place was built for Hitlers 50th birthday, because he mentioned "wouldn't it be nice to have a place up there. It took thousands of workers 3 years to hurriedly complete. ... Innsbruck. Innsbruck is a very picturesque small town set in the Austrian Alps...so so beautiful. We actually stayed about 15 minutes out in a ski village called igls ...this little village is perfect and you can visualise what it would be like in winter with the mountains all covered in snow..our hotel was also perfect everyone loved this stay over and were disappointed it was only for one night but tomorrow we are off to ...

... memorable were the Imperial Palace, Sisi's museum & St. Stephens Cathedral. The story of Sisi (Elizabeth, empress of Austria) is quite fascinating, I would encourage you to google her & read about her life.

Today we took the train from Vienna to Kitzbuhel. We had to transfer trains in Worgl, & expected to have 16 mins to make the connections. Well ...

... have to admit, that even for a bloke, it is an amazing place! Absolutely everything in the place sparkles, from the stairs, to the tables, to the toilets..... So we spent a while there as Treas sampled everything, and bought virtually nothing, and then did a general wander around the old town which has a quite a nice feel to it, and parts date back to the 1500s. Will post this now while I still have good wifi, and try to come back to it ...
