    ... flashing lights drew attention to these signs. We did see deer but truly, the promised bears in the brochure are still sleeping. The deer were scrounging for fresh growth under the snow.     Made it down the bay overnight

    ... for poor visibility we were ducking in and out of the channel to avoid Navy traffic.

    During the trip down anything that wasn't fastened down below ended up on the floor in the salon. Left Annapolis at 2 Monday and arrived at Top Rack Marina at about 2 this afternoon. Rewarded ourselves with a great dinner out at the Amber Lantern Restaurant. Early to bed. Up at 5:30 tomorrow to get underway at first light.

    ... at the starboard helm and set the drags on the two rods on that side. Donna and Jim handled the rods on the port side. Fortunately, the fish didn’t cross each other and tangle the lines and we ultimately got them all in! Whew! What a fire drill! Dave and Jim spent much of the rest of the day cleaning fish….
