... around 10am and was greeted by his dog, Lucy (also my grandmas name!!). She is a 4 year old beagle/security guard for Jim! Lucy was pretty protective over Jim and it was pretty cute. He said she isn’t so good with visitors and is a bit jumpy….she came over to us several time just to sniff us but wasn’t keen on being petted yet….maybe next time.

After talking and catching up with Jim, he said he wanted to take us out for lunch. ...

We thought it would be a nice full circle if we camped again in upstate New York toward the end of our trip, so we found Allegany State Park in the southern tier of the state. We weren't sure what to expect, and we didn't arrive until about 7:30, but we went to the Quaker Lake area and checked in to the Cain Hollow campground. ... magic mineral broth vegetable soup from wonderful sister Roz's cookbook, as well as brightly colored fresh cut flowers to contrast with the snow. Got to talk to Emily for over an hour. Most of all - got to do a laundry and dry it!:-). Don't ever take fluffy towels for granted!

... have been as many as 13, as few as 4 and this year we welcome Tony who brings the number to 6. We have been here at Allegheny, at my cottage, Doug's cottage and back to Allegheny. Two years there was no Moose Fishing, in 1994 when Bill was in Australia and in 2012 when he was to be in China. Clearly he is an essential ingredient. We might spend foolishly without him!
