As part of my time here at Carnegie Mellon, I have been given the amazing opportunity to travel to Doha, Qatar over Spring Break to tour our Middle Eastern campus. The program is called IMPAQT (Initiating Meaningful Pittsburgh and Qatar Ties) and our goal is not only to foster relationships between the two campuses, but also promote a more hefty exchange program for semester or year-long study.

... laptops and have some giveaways for our orphanage visits, but most of our time has been spent getting our container ready to ship. We will not be able to ship before we leave, but we will be on it as soon as we return.

On this trip, we will visit orphanages, churches, and widows, while seeing some sights and doing some leadership training. All in all, it will be a busy but not a hectic ...

... the house and nature, how its totally different but still looks like it grows from the stream...the house was built over the falling water and not watching it, as the kaufmans asked for, this way you can't see the falling water but you always feel it, the sounds, the vibrations in the floor, the smell,of water...this way wright achieved an architecture that grows from nature and not one that looks into it!!!! All the custom made furniture are beautiful ...

... preachers all come from different backgrounds and life circumstances, but they are all residents of Monessen and they all have plenty of their own problems and struggles they face each and every day. To see them (all 20 of them that helped lead worship!) putting so much time and energy into something that they don't get any direct reward for doing is a touching reminder of what REAL, MEANINGFUL ministry can really look like.
