... we parked up and I jumped out to use the ATM inside the bank instead.
Back at the motel we ate our (surprisingly good) microwave Chinese meals and saw footage of President Obama making his visit to the Glades on the news. Not content with ruining our visit to the Glades, he was now on TV rubbing it in our faces, wandering around with the Alligators and birds, chatting with the Rangers.

The park was created on 1947 to save the Glades but it's still fighting to survive because it has to compete with growing cities for ever precious water!! Another surprise were the many canoe routes including a 7 day 99 mile route near the west coast of Florida.
