Our first stop on the road to South America was an overnight in Dallas, Texas on Spencer's B-day. So, I scouted out a famous BBQ place that was close to the airport and our hotel - Hard Eight Texas BBQ was it! We ordered a tray of meat - seriously. We chose a sampler tray of different meat including; beef brisket, chicken jalapeno poppers, spicy sausage, and some beef skewers plus we added corn on the cobb. Everyone's favorite was the beef ...

There are lots of people are out enjoying the sunshine. There was a wedding in the garden, a bride taking portraits, and several Hispanic families taking pictures of girls for first communion. There was even a photographer taking pictures of a young man who was very dressed up ...
We're about packed. It's raining in Texas and we're experiencing a "cool" spell tonight as we make our final preparations. But hopefully it'll be dry in Missouri. Vacation awaits.
