I was happy with my choice for the Knights Inn, Marina District, San Francisco - it is an excellent location very near the Presidio and a short bus ride, or 35 min walk, to the Marina wharves and good food abounds. The room was clean and tidy and had a good sized bar fridge, and tea and coffee making facilities and the owners are very helpful. My only gripe was that there could have been a security chain or such on the door for extra security over and above the door lock while asleep, and the windows could do with either security screens or a window lock allowing the windows to be opened 6" safely for fresh air.

The next day I wandered down to the wharf area and stumbled upon a lovely wine bar and ..... well .... when in Rome .....! So I treated myself to a tasting of 4 California whites and came away more impressed with Aussie whites than I already was beforehand. Only one of the 4 excited me in any real way and that was as much because it was a grape …

As I said in my previous entry - I arrived in San Francisco 20 mins before I left Sydney. However the price for that 20 extra minutes of youth is (now) 6 days of erratic sleep patterns - I'm all over the place. I go to sleep at around 22:30 and wake up around 02:30. Sit up and do FB updates until about 04:00, fall asleep again and wake up around …

... in Chinese and had only the vaguest sense of my actual destination. Long story long, I landed safely in South Korea, reached out to Diane to let her know I was catching the bus over to her place, and a mere 70 minutes later (give or take 22 hours of traveling) I crashed out on her couch eager for the next day's big adventure! PS I arrived in Seoul, regrettably my luggage did not. But I still had my phone, charger, and dauntless ...

... was fun but I am glad to be leaving. Back to low key and Will and I being able to do what it is that we want to do. Our flight was on time and we had a really funny flight attendant that made a fair few funny comments. The flight was only and hour and a half so at was even better. I not looking forward to my 14hr flight in 10 days but never mind I will enjoy the last stop in our journey. It has been quite the adventure. We had ...

Hello All ....... Arrived in Seattle after enduring a flight of less than 2 hours with 2 screaming children and a mother telling them shhhhhhs for the entire flight.

Anyway after we received the discount from our last hotel we decided to spend that on cab fare to our hotel rather than busing or shuttling into town. Cost $50 but money well spent we think.
