I was happy with my choice for the Knights Inn, Marina District, San Francisco - it is an excellent location very near the Presidio and a short bus ride, or 35 min walk, to the Marina wharves and good food abounds. The room was clean and tidy and had a good sized bar fridge, and tea and coffee making facilities and the owners are very helpful. My only gripe was that there could have been a security chain or such on the door for extra security over and above the door lock while asleep, and the windows could do with either security screens or a window lock allowing the windows to be opened 6" safely for fresh air.

... 8217;s only” version… We walked around Union Square and Yerba Buena Gardens before walking to the Coit Tower. Unfortunately we didn’t realise quite how long the wait would be to actually get to the top… I think we lined up about 90 minutes to go to the top, spent about 5 minutes at the top and then had to line up about 20 minutes to get the lift back down. Matt was very grumpy by this stage… We walked around a bit more before ...

... of our Korean DMZ visit, and hoped it would not be as bad or worse than that, especially in the heat. Luckily it was not nearly as extreme as advertised, as neither of us had any trouble (or even got winded) following the informative park ranger/tour guide up to the cell block. Of the many facts and stories she shared, the two most interesting anecdotes were the prisoners being able to sometimes hear the voices and sounds of ...

... What a relief to finally be on the boat. Her name is Ti Paya, she's a36ft. long sailboat. I don't know what it means but I plan to find out. A great meal at a French harbor-side restaurant. Suddenly after 25 hrs. of travel it caught up with us and we were crawling to our new home the Ti Paya and our births for some sleep. I can't wait to see what adventure tomorrow brings ...

We awoke at a reasonable hour for our flight out of Vegas. Met Justin and company downstairs for a quick goodbye before jumping in a cab and heading to the airport. Checked our bags in relatively easily and made it through security eventually. We got some Burger King for breakfast and then sat at our gate. We flew Southwest Airlines so they don't designate seats. You just board in an order, we got seats next to each other which was ...
