Once we checked into the Chancellor hotel we headed out to Union Square which is like a concrete park, with a couple of cafés in the middle of the shopping district of San Fran. I know this doesn't sound like much but it is so lovely to have somewhere like this that is chilled but in the middle of the shopping district. ... way back down, before returning back the way we came. We then headed out of Yosemite across huge prairies followed by mile upon mile of orchards, in the 190 miles to San Fran.

30 miles out we hit our first traffic jam, 5 lanes of weekenders returning from fun & frolics but, eventually, hit the State Route 92 bridge across the bay which was ...

... on way for Chris to provide information, we had our last steep climb from Fort Point to Golden Gate Bridge and then down a steep hill after the bridge into Sausalito.

Once in Sausalito we bid farewell to Chris and all bike riders and went our own way.

Having some lunch we walked around streets, did a little shopping therapy and headed back on a ferry to Pier 41 at Fishermans ...
