... me why we are doing this. It really is life changing and gives me a much broader perspective of where I came from. At the same time, it makes me forever grateful for the life I've had. I have the best of both worlds...amazing blood relatives and an amazing family of people I got to choose. I wouldn't change any of it.

I also have great reminders of my past and more research to do with my grandfather's journals. I am excited to learn even more about where I came ...

joints. Headache time! Also, we didn't experience the same
    aggression among drivers ...

while Tom, Chris, Pepe and Bernie went fishing for a long weekend. I was lucky to be able to spend some quality time with Katie, celebrating her 9th birthday a little early. You're a quick learner with the game of cribbage, Katie.
She's already beaten me a couple of times.

Anyway, the rest of the journey was fine, despite a minor panic in Toronto Union Station when I couldn't find anybody I was supposed to be meeting (it turned out that they were waiting in the wrong place!), and meeting my long lost family all over again was really exciting!

It took just under a couple of hours to get from Toronto to the small farm that my uncle and aunt own. It's set on 10 acres and is just beautiful, surrounded by fields, ...
