... to leave RSI and then spent the next hour, courtesy of Gilly's satnav, trying to get out of Strasburg over the Rhine and into Germany. We had a nice tour of some back streets, cul de sacs and housing estates before we managed to find the main road and crossed into Germany.

Weather was not the best, little drizzle in the morning but the weather improved by afternoon. Planned to got the 'Kleine Scheidegg' but we would not have had a view to Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The first hour of the drive from Lauterbrunen northwest to Austria was very interesting with farms and pretty towns and even a Swiss horn player practising on the roadside on a mountain pass but once we got closer to the big cities of Lucerne and Zurich we stuck to the motorways. There wasn’t much to see other than huge industrial sites and the insides of tunnels. The Swiss sure do tunnels well. We must have done 40 plus in the two days we drove through Switzerland. ...

... as much as we can for the next couple of weeks before our final descent into Paris for some R&R and preparation for the trip home.

With ten days or so of shorter cycling days or days of no cycling (and more eating!), we are feeling the need add a few more kilometres and subtract the few kilograms that have crept on again.
