... a salad and it had a very strong dressing on it which I can’t decide if I liked. But my host family certainly know the way to my heart. Along with a note from Kara saying she hopes I like the room there are also 3 jars on the desk in the room. 2 hold tea light candles and the third is full of Lindt chocolate!

... and, because the woman in the airport who sold me the tickets told us to get number 5, we did. It turned out that this was the local commuter bus and, whilst it still took us to the correct destination, it stopped off a number of times along the way for commuters. ... We bought first class tickets so that meant we were in the (over)heated enclosed upper deck. Fabulous views for the entire trip. Table service, food, beer, wine, coffee. Down near Ripperswill, it got a bit marshy on one side of the lake and there were a few islands. One of them, slightly larger, had two small churches and a couple of other buildings on it.
