... guess there's not much reason to since they like to keep it to themselves and have all the oil monies.

I passed out after getting back and showering. Then when I went to the lounge to eat dinner, I met an American from Madison, Wisconsin. Of course it'd be an American who strikes up a conversation with me!! I feel so awkward around like French people and Scandinavians because I don't want to intrude, especially if they are couples in their ...

It's a month away, and every day a want to be home more and more so a month seems like a really long way away, but with no more than two nights in any one location I think the time will go really quickly. ... town of 300 ( a metropolis up here we would later discover!). It is nestled deep in the fjord and the rising mountains on either side are majestic. When we had looked at spending a night in flam I had researched several hotels and finally found one that was a deal at $500 per night! Because we also wanted to do a fjord safari and eat at some point I started looking at other options. I have an aversion to hostels after a nasty experience in Venice ...

On to Flam. Wow what a city, And we only had 1 and 1/2 hours to see the city. We went to the cafe and had a bite to eat. On to shopping in the 3 cheap trinket traps. And we still had 1/2 hour to spend. Fortunately, Jeff had done his research and limited our time in Flam to the hour and half. Any longer and it would not have been fun.

The train from Flam to Myrdal was magical. The ...
