This was another day to sleep in and try to catch up on our blog. Each entry takes about 2 hours and we just can't keep up.

The weather was better today so it was a day for a hike in the mountains. Gro had told us she would take us to one of the highest waterfalls in Europe. When we got to the sign that gave the distances and times for the walks, ...

Gro had to work in the mornings so we were able to sleep in today. We were going to take a walk in the mountains but the weather wasn't cooperating. I suggested that we visit a nearby stave church. Gro liked the idea and her mother came too. Neither of them had seen the church before.

Even though Lars assures me that tollways are free for motorcycles, I plugged in "avoid tolls" just in case and as a result Google Maps took us around this one toll tunnel. Even though it was raining, I was glad that we went this route because it took us up this extremely small mountain road with beautiful views of lakes, small tunnels carved through the rock, and sheep wandering on the road as they saw fit. After ...

Yesterday's blog was all about how expensive everything is and how I'm not sure if we are being ripped off as tourists or if things are just expensive in general here in Norway for a reason that I'm not aware of. It turns out its a bit of both. We took the train to Flam today. It's been described as "the most beautiful train ride in the world". I would say that it is stunningly beautiful. It is also packed with tour groups from every corner of the ...

Today we are taking trip to the fjords. We start the day bright and early with a boat ride from Bergen to Flam. This takes us through the Sjonenfjord, the King of the fjords. From Flam we take the train to Myrdal - one of the most scenic train trips in Europe. From there we catch another train back to Bergen.

The morning was spent on a boat in the fjord. On our way to the Sjonenfjord we travel ...
