Given that it was so early and we still had some daylight, we decided to do a walk around the surroundings and headed off to check out the Weißer Turm. On the way we passed the Germanisches Nationalmuseum and some white pillars dedicated to the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

At the Weißer Turm, we also saw the impressive St Elisabeth Cathedral and a fountain ...

... in the lonely planet guide, but they were really fun. We did two, one with the four of us then with the six. I think the novelty had worn off by the time we did the six but we did manage to meet some Italian guys who we got to take a photo for us. The food and drink here is super cheap, more reasons why you should come. You can have a three course meal for five pounds at lunch and the beer is only £1. Eating has been a bit of a struggle for me, after my Chinese ...
