      ... with their siblings (similarities with ours abound) while the parents enjoy the onsen and clean themselves. We watched the monkeys until it became too cold and then back on the bus and back to Nozawa Onsen.

      We’d bought some groceries during the day and used the kitchen back at the Lodge to cook up some soba noodles with Pork. Not as good as the local restaurants but the kids enjoyed a night in.

      ... slushier in the afternoon - we decided to ski the morning, have lunch on the mountain and then ski home or catch the gondola. On Wednesday, we were about to ski Skyline home, when the fog arrived just as we were about to hike the last bit. The white out (5 m visibility) meant that we had to go down via the Nagasaka gondola - it was a good thing the white out arrived when it did otherwise it would have been a bit scary on the narrow Skyline.
