Very basic accommodation. Rooms are neat and clean. Instant hot shower was instantly hot for about 2 seconds. Adequate breakfast. Fairly extensive dinner menu although very slow when busy. Wifi and computer handy for travelers. Door handle falling off in bathroom. Customer service touch and go. Was given a funny look when I asked for towels for our room...

I stayed here one night for the purposes of starting a tour the next day. Having stayed in the country for a week with latrines and bucket showers, I was happy with bed with nice whit sheets, toilet and shower. Unfortunately when I turned on the water heater sparks flew and there was a loud bang and could tell the heater was not on. I called down to reception and they said they would send someone up. No one every came. Despite my problem it was good accommodations - if you need for one or two nights.

Clean rooms and bathrooms, single beds, safe compound where you wake listening to Africa's version of the bellbirds.

Older style hotel with no room for pretence but you can eat here laze by the swimming pool or get a cab into town to go to the muzungu malls or museums.

We crossed into Kenya and was dropped off at the Kivi Hotel, in Nairobi. A transit visa got us the few hours until we had to go to the airport for our flight to Copenhagen, Denmark on Qatar Airlines with a short lay over in the capital city of Doha.

*We had the desk clerk at the Kivi Hotel call for our taxi to the airport because we …

After a good sleep (no rat to worry about lol) and breakfast I met Phillip my driver and went on a wee mission around town to find $US then it was back to the Tanzanian Embassy where I ended up being questioned if my last visa was a fake as it did not look like the ones Kenya issue or the other one in my passport ( I had gotten into and out of …

The end of tour 1 and only 16 days to go.
The meals were OK but not great. Packet soup and a big slurp of chilli sauce in everything is not cheffy. 10 lunches were make your own at 6am. They supply polony, salad and stale bread and expect you to make sandwiches and then eat soggy sambo's for lunch. The few times we had meat it was soo over …

Nairobi is slightly strange. That is the best way I can describe it. The airport is pretty much smack bang in the middle of the Nairobi national park which surrounds the city. It is not unusual to see a giraffe wander past as you leave the not so organized chaos of the car park - cars are parked where there are not allocated spaces i.e. in the …
