The night before
School's out, work is on pause and the cottage industry is closed for Christmas. It's finally here after months of waiting and we're all beside ourselves with excitement.
The bags are packed (with space to spare thanks to Annette's frugal choice of clothes) and we have even managed to find room for Ellie much to Esther's relief.
We've got so many exciting new experiences ahead of us crammed into a 7 week trip. South East Asia here we come!

Morning of NY
... of being late especially where aviation is concerned, would be a little rattled by the little woman at our service and should by default be reassuring us that we will catch the flight no matter what, I tried to go into the bedroom to reassure her. It was too late. Stress had hit her face like a wet gibbon and all I could do was match that with a moan about the transporter woman who had brought so much cheer to our doorstep. Easy day =)
... bread. We did have a little trip to Tesco in the middle since we didn't have a crusty loaf for the garlic bread. But once everything was said and done, we had made a beautiful meal and it was easily the best meal I had since I left the ship.
The perfect way to end such a lovely day was having a long chat to Edith and Dave. Those two are so amazing, I am so appreciative of their company and kindness towards me.

Half term break = PACKED TRAINS
... a bit with Auntie Edith, Uncle Dave, Phil and to see Nanna Josie in Liverpool. ****** bit is that this little lady was still quite sicky.

Nearly there
... and we have bought a small fan heater for the cold nights. We also now own a TV with DVD player built in, just need an aerial.
On Monday morning we hitch the van up, tell the sat nav to find to longest and most difficult route it can find (which is normal for any sat nav we use) and head off to Nottingham to see our friends who we met in France, and Norma and Alan who we stayed with for a couple of days on the last trip.
