... separate directions VERY early on a Sunday morning. I was grateful for this timing because I had to drive straight through the centre of London, in a strange (manual) car and lots of road changes. ... for me. Downstairs I tried on jackets and jumpers and finally left the shop 500 poorer but with good quality walking gear which should last me for the rest of my walking life. Weighted down with two large bags, my back pack and a dog on the lead meant that I wasn't going to be able to walk back to Clitheroe so I caught a bus.

07:45 and the rain woke us up bouncing off the roof. Jayne opened the window blinds to see a queue of people waiting to set up for a car boot. Blimey, fair play to them. By the time we had dressed and had breakfast the rain had stopped so we had a quick walk around the tat on display. After that we took off and stopped off in Windermere for a quick look around.
