I've been inspired by the Badlands to make this blog post all about things that are bad-ass. Truly, I'm blown away by the Badlands. I've been to quite a few National Parks, including Denali, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Glacier, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Arches. ... once we reached western Iowa. Plenty of rolling hills and great scenery. We also stopped in the Loess Hills Visitor's Center and talked to a nice old lady behind the front desk, who seemed thrilled just to have visitors.

Bob and I are preparing for our two month adventure in Spain. We are attempting to hike 10k every morning and have now added another 10k in the afternoon. Along with the hikes, we have added our backpacks. The question now we are asking each other often, "Why are we doing this?" It seems silly to work this hard in retirement.
