... It is such a beautiful lake, with a very fragile ecosystem.

Our GPS lady led us astray again. We were given directions to Lake Tahoe, but unfortunately, the road over the mountain was closed, which meant we had to find a new way over the mountain. She didn’t understand that and kept trying to get us to turn around. Plus, it seems that when I need the atlas to tell me where to go, the destination is always in the centerfold of the page ...

... class vibe in most of the towns.

We stayed for a week in South Lake Tahoe at the Campground on the Lake, which is right on the lake!! Awesome location. We walked across the street to the free festivals on the beach and took our scooter for a short ride (couple miles) to State Line, Nevada, where the casinos are front and center. Heading to Sparks NV

A travel blog entry by theprocters on Jun 06, 2014

Left for Sparks, NV at 10:17am. We didn't have far to go, and after driving past Reno, arrived at our destination around 11:45 am. But the weather felt very hot, especially after living in the cooler mountain air for over two weeks. We also ...

Cathy is a devoted bird watcher and we were delighted to observe a male and female woodpecker building their nest in a decayed tree stump. That evening we attended a play called "American Idiots" at the South Tahoe High School. It was very well ...

... he has a shot at being the King, I told him he only has one head so they won't accept him (Ben not impressed). Day 3 we went over to Coronado on the beach and went bike riding, while on the last day we went to Sea World. Sea World had some really cool dolphins and Orca shows. We learnt today that 2 days after we were there an orca was born!
Off to lay on a beach in Cabo, Mexico before realising the reality that we are coming home soon! Arghhh
