Today was one of those days that you wished you have hindsight beforehand. It's a humid, not too hot day that just screams the eerie calm before the storm. ... are the giant daikon radishes that grow here on the island. In fact, it looks like the world record daikon (over 30 lbs) was grown here on the rich volcanic soil. Now the shops don't sell the entire daikon--it'd be hard for anyone to finish that off, but they have pickled slices of them. Their diameter just gives you a good idea how giant this things are.
