    ... view of the sea. Mom is happy!!! However, you should have seen her face when they brought out the dinner she ordered! She thought she was getting sea bass....instead she got a bunch of little fish like anchovies, but a little bigger! She was a trooper, and picked them apart because " I don't eat heads or skin".     Ringing the changes for breakfast - Jerry had the continental (all kinds of cheese and meat and a particularly odd looking sausage) and I had the French (bit of a shock when you're expecting a croissant and it's full of chocolate, but managed to struggle through more than I should).

    ... 13 / 14 century churches. Also lots of gift shops and leather shops with very reasonable prices - got my eye on a handbag, but don't tell Jerry!

    Think we managed to see most of it and walk around the perimeter sussing out beaches for later before stopping for coffee above the harbour, seeing a lovely old car and making some new friends! (See photos)

    ... but made tolerable by the fast new road and we were in Burgas after a cloudy, rainy two and a half hours.

    I guess the the weather did Burgas no favours, but the beach was long and sandy and the gardens along the seafront made for a pleasant stroll to the pedestrianised main street. Lots of bars and restaurants (including the ubiquitous Irish Bar), souvenir type shops and an aroma that took me straight back to Blackpool. Anyway, it was good to ...
