... find to cool off and get some water. Exhausted, we rested during the afternoon and decided to stay in for dinner and hang out around the house. Tiffany cooked a mean rice dish for dinner and while we waited we nibbled on peppers, hummus and crackers and grapes. We also enjoyed some dark and stormies. We played Cards Against Humanity until one by one people disappeared to bed.

We left New York the next morning, catching a train to Philadelphia from Penn Station. Sitting in the station waiting for the train we got talking to a couple and they were from Brisbane and had also come across on the Queen Mary 2. What a coincidence!

... Camp pals which is for Down Syndrome children and they each have a volunteer 'helper' with them. For 1 week they go to camp and get to enjoy themselves. It was so lovely seeing them in their final performance day where they danced, did relays and other things for a few hours. Our job as counselors may be stressful, but its the people who take this on that deserve so much credit for being able to do it. It was a really incredible experience to see how they do it.
