After the Ulster GP we returned to East Kilbride for another 2 days. Greg cleaned the bike, got the chain tightened and rested up. Kerrie enjoyed a bit of retail therapy replacing some toiletries, caught up on the washing and read another book. Our time back in Glasgow was completed with a lovely dinner at the Leeburn Hotel with Craig and Susan McCall (Neils and Isobel's daughter and her husband) their children Connor and Leah and ...

Hi all, Today is Sunday 26th July and we've been away from NZ 18 days. How the time has flown. We stayed for the final day of the 144th British Golf Open which was extended due to very windy conditions on day 2 to Monday 21 st July. After a morning of rain showers we collected Evan from school and were underway by 2pm. Evan slept half of the way.

Spent the last two days in Cleethorpes/Grimsby where Grandma grew up before sailing to New Zealand when she was in her late teens.

So good to meet up with extended family and be looked after with a place to stay. Nice to put a face to the name as well as Grandma does like to talk about the past "Grimsby will always be her home".

Arrived late afternoon as had to travel via two buses one from Leeds to Hull then Hull to Cleethorpes where ...

... life living, there were shops, pubs, homes etc. also found a room with historic military memorabilia and coincidentally a memorial book was open on a page with a G Winfield names recorded. Took pics for future research. by now it was really hot and we were pretty tired. It was also time to head back to find Steve and Janet's home. Grabbed ourselves a frappe from a muffin break store and then aired the car, switched on TomTom (did I say how much this ...
