... I never really considered just how much technical stuff I'd need. But I know it'll all be worth it when I get there and I'm facing -20 degrees!

Got a stinking headcold and dodgy throat as well too - which is not ideal, but I'm just hoping its my body anticipating the change of climate and is getting it out of its system before we embark - one can hope eh?

25th. Our accommodation at Robin Hoods Bay was very nice and was on the hill side about 6 miles out of the village and from the house you have a great view. Breakfast was good and then we left and drove into the village itself. This village is on the sea side and has a very steep road for the last bit going to it. The sign said 30% decline which means that for every 3.3 metres you travel forward you drop 1 metre. The streets of the village are very narrow with shops ...

The next 2 days were travelling days in the UK. We set the GPS for Durham, about a 4 hour ride. We travelled on the A roads and enjoyed the English countryside stopping at Peebles for morning tea.
