The new room where we stayed smells like a newly painted one, not so pleasant for my nose.Yes, it's clean with tv, fridge, air con, hot and cold shower but the ambiance isn't as pleasant as the original rooms they have got where we first stayed. Moreover, they have just one plus, a swimming pool!

Refreshed, I re-crossed town to Xavier University and the Museo de Oro, which features the ethnology of Mindanao. Not everyone's cup of tea but right up my alley. CDO, and Mindanao in general suffer from an image problem due to a long simmering Muslim insurgency. Tourists don't come due ...

This was necessary as not all members could swim. It kept things interesting and excitement grew! On the way to the finish we stopped to climb a huge rock our flip flops had to be abandoned ...

After work, I walked back with him to go check out his house a couple of times. He thought it was pretty cool, and I was pretty excited as well. Seeing the house, I couldn't help but feel bad. I didn't show it though. It wasn't as bad as Karen people in the forests of Thailand, but still..

Okay, so I wanted to discuss a number of other things and I would have but I'm writing this entire post a second time. I accidentally clicked delete and it went to the previous page before anything was saved. I couldn't recover it. Don't you hate when you forget to save and you never learn from your mistakes. Most frustrating thing ever.

Next post: Special post with pictures of my work site and the characters I get to work with daily. Look forward to it!
