Melbourne, Victoria, Australia emmylou13... the f&$k just happened ...

Always keen for a bargain, I booked a relatively last minute $28 Tiger
Airways flight from Melbourne to Sydney and was expecting
something a little nicer based on how they market their services and
for this "exorbitant" price! Melbourne, Victoria, Australia queenant89... off and so had to go back for repairs!

We then finally made it into the city where we spent 3 days. We looked all around the city centre at the shops and main places of interest. Gigs wanted to see the famous MCG (Melbourne cricket ground) and the Rod Laver Arena where the Austalian Tennis Open is played, so we walked around the complexes for the afternoon. We also visited the ...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia zoeandgigs... that must have been the reason. And there was me thinking it was just because I was doing a good job!
The idea of a commission based job which involves being out in the elements in Melbourne in the winter and attempting to sell energy to the most worked market in Australia and I would imagine one of the most worked (door to door wise in the world) seems terrifying. The thought of a 6 day week and being responsible for our own earnings and work ethic and most painful of all being a ...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia ciaradoonerush... I didn't know how to cook much. I was living on pretty much the same four or five meals I had known how to make since first moving out of home a few years earlier, and even they involved a lot of sauces from jars and frozen stuff. I had eaten some pretty incredible meals already in this city, and was aware of its reputation as the food capital of Australia. I knew about the Queen Victoria Market, and had been there maybe a time or two to buy some produce. I knew that if I ...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia sirecho... 5 days of bright blue sky!!!) so have been able to do lots of walking around town. Jo's flat is 40 mins walk from the centre so on Friday morning we walked in along the river which was really pretty. Being Good Friday most touristy places were closed but there was a comedian in Federation Square so we sat and watched him for a while and then after having a picnic lunch in a park did a bit of shopping. In the evening we ...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia annaobeirne... and by the time we had done the bus journey having waited for it, it was nearer 3 o'clock. Heading straight for Alexandra Gardens and the free BBQ, I ate cheap sausages in bread and Kim managed to find some cheap chinese food given that Australia day coincides directly with the celebration of the Chinese new year, given that Melbourne and Sydney's population are increasingly Chinese. We wandered around the smaller family events and ...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia adam_and_kimIn early january 2009 i moved down to Melbourne, Australia, to study at Uni Melbourne. The city is amazing - everyone's friendly and it took me two days to find a flat! In the middle of january i left Melbourne on the hop-on hop-off greyhound buses. On our way up to Cairns we stayed in Sydney, Newcastle, Port Stephens, Byron Bay, Surfers Paradise, Brisbane, Hervey Bay (Fraiser Island) and Airlie Beach (Whitsundays).
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia marikahToday Dans and Cam organised a picinic as it was a beautiful day. Went off to the river where we installed ourselves on a large stretch of grass. The grassland is on a small hill above the river with palm trees next to the river and the CBD in the near background. Quite a contrast but very pleasant area. Met alot of Cam and Gregoir friends, great people. Came back to the house afterwards and had a massive jamming session with Matt, a ...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia sebou... Rugby Union hat (I told her again). She added an Australian flag to her face too, for an extra bit of class. You can see my reaction in one of the photos. Inside the Dome, myself and Helen found our seats (away from Carrie and her Aussie mates) and promptly found that we were very much in the Aussie supporters section. Luckily it seemed to be one very large family, who wasted no time at all telling us we sucked. I surprised ...
