... two French guys doing the same as us in a campervan, and gave them a thrashing at "soccer", despite the fact I have less skill that Emile Heskey... all good fun!
Today we went to a lake to do a type of wake boarding, the difference being you are pulled along by a rope on a wire going above the lake around it... It was a good laugh, despite the fact it cost about $60 and consisted of two hours of repeatedly pounding face first into ...
"It's a totally inhospitable place, you shouldn't be here, the sun, you live about three quarters of a mile from it, I've seen insects walking around with kneepads, you fling yourselves into the sea when you're not actually walking around audibly crackling in the heat and the sea is full of jellyfish and sharks and other things who hate you, but you persist in living here...So you know, it's a jail, you live in, its lovely, you've done wonderful things with it, but you're still in denial."

... the others + finding out what jobs they got!
Rhihannon + I managed to get a job in Windorah which is about 21hours inland from Brisbane!
We had to get a bus to Longreach which was 18hours, but had to stay there for a night!
Longreach was the most borning town EVER! Because it was a Sunday everything was shut! There was supposed to be a movie showing of my sisters keeper, but because there wasn't enough people going they cancelled it :o ...
... that's probably enough self-indulgent chat for now. Frankly I am sure sitting on my backside in Toowong is not interesting fodder for a travel blog. Let's hope it gets more entertaining than this!
Hui Jian foks! (That's see ya in Mandarin)
p.s. creative license for the blog name G'day China (rhyming slang china plate = mate) must be credited to Peter Bowe. Pipped only by his other suggestion: Around china with a fork (yes, I can't use chopsticks).
... wasn’t an actual place or thing but catching up with all our friends around the world and meeting new friends and Rosa’s family around Croatia, Germany and London. Except for a few hitches with United and some stuff ups by Flight centre with Rosa’s flights we had a relatively trouble free holiday and considering we were gone for 9 weeks I think that is amazing. Also relatively few things lost (see notes later) which is a miracle as those of you who have seen me ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia jrriley8... I've met a lot of people and I'm presently giving a lift to Engladers, it's really funny. In Brisbane, the girls are really gorgeous and fit, long legs etc ... the lifestyle balance looks pretty cool ... the people in the street are very polite and happy, they give you smile the whole day ... There are many many many backpackers, a lot of depressing froggies .. hehe and so many german girls ... yum !
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia fwice... with its beautiful colours more than the fish (as we saw almost the same in Galapagos). Being a very touristic cruise (around 100 people on the boat!) we had a deal with the agency to get one "initiation to diving" for free!! So Massimo had his first time experience "breathing underwater"...it was a great experience but he's not going to do it again...men is not supposed to breathe underwater so why pushing it? We then took the campervan ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia melmax... sorted out a "resident" parking permit with the hostel so we could leave the car outside tomorrow instead of moving it, had to pay $30 deposit for it. We decided after a big night last night to just have a night in so we nipped over to Coles and got a few drinks to have in the dorm. Your not allowed any alcohol in the main TV room, or sports on TV, which is cool with me. I guess its because the hostel is in a ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia oldhamguy... to eat our cheese sandwiches and tomatoes. I discarded the core of one tomato into the bushes. A little while later I felt something run over my foot, it was a huge lizard, this is another good reason not to wear sandles. The lizard ran off into the bushes and then there was a lot of commotion, another lizard turned up and they started fighting over my discarded piece of tomato. The lizards romped around a lot making lots of crashing noise in the bushes and ended up with one ...
