    The rest of my day was casual. I read
    my book, had a parfait, hugged and cuddled Bodger, set up my bananas,
    did laundry and really caught up on this journal thing! I may even be

    ... br> not get over how insanely cute this owl was as she talked almost
    non-stop. Apparently, this is a barking owl theme, because Elmo came
    out next (same species) and talked a lot as well.

    Most of the information I heard I
    already knew, but it was great for a refresher. Barking owls nest in
    tree stumps/hollows only, so imagine how forest clearing has affected
    them.

    As a sort of “party trick,” they
    gave Elmo a whole mouse ...
