... unlucky - it wasn't open yet - even though the owner had promised the day before that it would be! We jumped in the car and headed down to the other shop we had seen. After a long round about drive through back streets (circumnavigating the sassi via one way roads) we got there, and were very happy to find that Andy's choice of lamp was there! One down, we headed back to the first shop to check if she was there yet, and were lucky! Two ...

... other side of the room. Sadly we had a completely broken hinge on the toilet seat AGAIN.. (No we are not breaking them- but - it is a strange run of luck two nights in a row.) Home made Limoncello and another after dinner drink, home made with herbs which had a strong ...

Stopped at Bascillicata and had a late lunch at a little pizzeria. ...

... you can tell, a fairly uneventful but thoroughly enjoyable time.

    Scotland the Brave.

Day two at Camping Athena and we are joined by another British van,a Scottish one, proudly flying the blue "Saltire" on the back. From it a couple in their late 60's emerge and park a little over 50 metres away. As the day wears on we can't help but notice developments around the Scottish van. Perhaps Alex Salmond has had a word in their ears - "Show the Europeans that ...

... Valle della Ferriere then home to Sorrento by fast boat - great views of the dramatic cliffs.
Day 3 With Kellie in tow we took off to the lovely Positano and caught the little boat for Ristorante Da Aldolfa where we lunched in a beautiful secluded cove. Our waiter wore swim shorts and scuffs.Food was great too. Day 4 Tom and I dropped back in time at Pompeii and Herculaneum then dined on the waterfront ...
