Our stay was god, it definitely has the feel of a hotel though, the staff were friendly - especially '"Robert"', he was very helpful. Beds were clean, good location.

The walls are quite thin but that's noisy Chinese hotel guests for you!

The room was nice and large with good amenities. The downstairs had a basic buffet-style meal. There was also a tiny convenience store with ice cream. The best feature was the 6th floor bar and restaurant area with a panorama view of the area. The drinks were reasonable and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Chuck was not well today so I went to the Great Wall alone with our guide Linda. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Arrival Day! (3:15 pm local time)

A travel blog entry by 2togonebraska on Apr 25, 2014

We have arrived! We landed at 3 pm local time, but it was almost 6:30 by the time we were in our hotel room. Tons of traffic & gridlock but the way people drive is nuts. I decided looking out the front of the car was too nerve wracking! We are so tired that we plan to just eat some food we brought with us & get some sleep. Tomorrow the sightseeing begins.

After the return from the great wall to Beijing we had a lazy afternoon before we went to the best place in town to have our Peking Duck once again. On a small backalley we found "Sijiminfu" and that duck shure was good, yummie!! After that we had to rush to the train to get on the T-train to Xi'an.

Now through border and in third hotel - posh this time, for government officials and foreigners (was old russian embassy with statue of lenin at gate). Last night at Ti...
