We remembered it was the Columbus Day Holiday today that probably accounts for the crowds in the parks and streets. We had a map and with a few wrong turns looking short cuts, we finally made it. After a leisurely stroll though Central Park ,and a couple of hours at the Museum of Natural History (not nearly enough time to do this fabulous place justice) we felt we had earned our subway ride back to our hotel. A bit sad we are leaving after only day but we have New Orleans to look forward to. A new experience for both of ...

... a small tea (the cheesesteak was very filling!) and then out on a ghost tour of the town. It seems to be becoming a theme of my elective going on ghost tours, but it was something different to do and we spent the rest of the night talking to the people we had met on the tour and drinking the free beer we were provided! So that was our whistlestop tour of Philadelphia, but we both had a really good time. It's been interesting visiting Washington ...
