... so I went to look. Of course it was off. Made the train anyway, with maybe 8 minutes to spare. Trip was uneventful; train ran on time. Some people don't seem to get the concept of the quiet car, but the conductor took care of that. Arrived in NYC on time about 1:35.

... and he isn't wolfing down all the canned food in the morning. If the skunk were eating him out of house and home, he'd eat that canned food, you can bet! Still, one really doesn't want to cohabit with a skunk (not a wild one who hasn't been de-skunked, anyway!), so when we get back, we'll have to deal with it. Probably just put the ...

Travelling north, looking out for snow and/or ice. We haven't seen any yet but the temperatures are certainly getting cooler.

Our campground tonight has a train track running alongside its boundary. An active track, the trains actually shake the ground under us as they pass by.

... coaster with loops and corkscrews. After that, it was Intimidator 305. A 300-foot drop at speeds up to 90 mph followed by a tight 270 turn made for a very intense experience. So much so, I think I nearly blacked out for a few seconds from the g-force of the turn at 90 mph. Next, we did two more launch coasters, Flight of Fear and Volcano Blast Coaster. Flight of Fear whips ...

Always like to get home on the map to show the whole trip, but in this case, much of the excitement occurred at the start. Flight was scheduled for 6:15 a.m., which necessitated a 4:00 a.m. alarm. Got to the airport in good time, and then things started to go wrong. You figure, when you're leaving the house at 4:30, not to encounter much traffic, and I didn't, until I got to the airport. On the actual ...
