BATH ROAD Bath, Somerset, England, United Kingdom, BA2 0EB
... there now! It's a beautiful village where there are almost no new buildings. The main street is the main street of Meryton in the BBC's version of Pride and Prejudice. The town was also the twon where a series called Cranford was shot. Not sure how many people will have seen it in Australia, but it's a great series if you like period dramas. Several of the buildings have also been used as exteriors in the Harry Potter films, for example, the house where ...
Bath, England, United Kingdom hannahfosterI manged to buy a car in November, a purple Rover 216! Very sporty.. lol. But I did have to spend a bit of money on it to get it into shape and MOT'd. Well registered in Australia. He and I have had some adventures already but I'm sure plenty of more when I take him to Scotland with me!
Enjoy the photos of Pete
... was trying to avoid him by taking a picture really quick with the statue but he was quicker than I was! After my picture was taken with him, he started talking to us about heavy metal, and he was actually kind of funny...but I never ended up being able to take my picture with the lovely Ms. Austen.
We then caught our bus back to London and went to bed right away as we had to be up by 3:15am to get ready to catch a flight to Berlin.
... on the pebble beach and took a long bike along the forshore. That night we got dressed up and after a few clothes swapping we headed to Monaco. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner and then went and mixed with the rich and famous at the Monte Carlo Grand Casino. We also went and saw the Grand Prix track. The next day we had a long drive passing through Avigon and we stayed that evening in an amazing Chatau just outside of Lyon. The Chatau;s ...

Bath, United Kingdom sianethI went on a day tour from London to visit Stonehenge and Bath.
I've heard people say about Stonehenge, something like, "why would you want to see that, it's a just a bunch of rocks?" Well, it's much, much more than than that. It's the fact that it has been there since about 2500 BC and questions like what the purpose was, where the stones came from, how ...
... of good things to do. At this point it was just Aja, Caz and I cos Aja's housemates caught another bus up to Bath. We met them in the line for the Roman Baths. It cost 12 pound for a ticket that got us into both the Roman Baths and the Bath Fashion Museum. We spent about an hour or an hour and a half walking through the Roman Baths. It was really good to see all the different Baths - they provided you with an audio headseat which gave ...
Bath, England, United Kingdom kbcon2... You're not on the right train". I must have given him a look of desperation at that point, because to my surprise (and as I was reaching for the money in utter despair), he walked away. He had decided to let this one slide. Score one for the stupid American. Like clockwork, we arrived in Bath at 8:30am. Laura and I made our way out of the station at a blazing speed. Our tour group was more than likely waiting (hopefully ...
Bath, United Kingdom northwesthook... I guess we really needed a chance to catch up on some sleep. We were got starving so we got cleaned up and walked across the street to Mai Tai, a Thai restaurant that smelled wonderful. I had a chicken red curry and tried a Thai beer called Chang. Cool glass! We went back to the room and got in our comfy clothes, made a cup of tea and watch TV till 1am (guess the nap helped). Tomorrow we're going to venture out to Avebury which we've read a lot about. Can't wait.
Bath Spa, United Kingdom jbrasher... and it seems there is no wind here. Walking around the stone circle is fun and I take a lot of photos. I'm thinking, however, that the stones could have been bigger, at least I expected them to be bigger.
The circle used to work as an astronomic calendar, it would predict the solstice or some natural calamities. It was also used as a place of prayer, and people would meet here to begin and to end each season of the year.
