We've been busy!

Hello everyone,

We've been having a busy time since our last blog. We have been to Newark to see Anne and Bob, Mum's cousin's Clare and Marie and our second cousins Harry, Charlie and Claus. Harry and Charlie's friend is a policeman and this is a photo of us in his car. We also went swimming with them, went to another ...

The Fly Over

... time - Arrive 515 London - 1515 Brisbane Boarding the A380 - OMG this plane is HUGE!!! Freakin ginormous!! And surprisingly spacious. Considering how large this plane is - it takes off really smoothly, barely even notice. But this is the good part. Not sleeping a wink on the Bris-Sing leg and by the time we took off it was around 3am in Brisbane, I was out like a light before we even flattened out. Only to wake to eat and quickly doze off again. I ...

London Town!

... bunch of Alfred Hitchcock movies, and it was hilarious.   There is only a cast of 4 people, but between them they play 140 different roles, and it is so funny to watch them go from character to character.  They were really incredible!  We were laughing so hard that our sides hurt by the end!   After the show we walked around a bit more in Leicester Square, then headed back to Russell Square and went to a pub for a while.  We went back to the hotel pretty early ...

A Jolly good time in London

... sleek look and adds a lot to the London skyline. We also decided to walk and see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament at night. It was really neat to see the very ornate buildings all like up at night. After a very long day on our feet we were ready to head to the hotel for a good night's sleep. On day three in London we arose early and headed to Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guard. When we arrived it was absolutely packed ...

I'VE BEEN TO LONDON TO VISIT THE QUEEN

After that did all the sights of Kensington Palace, Diana's memorial, Royal Albert, Harrods (yes Carol I checked out the Food Court, WOW), Wellington Arch, Downing Street where the PM lives, Big Ben, London Eye and finished the night off with a show - The Lion King. That show was AMAZING. Today we checked out Sherlock Holmes place (pic ...

Haven't been anywhere yet and its already exciting

... and kept us entertained with his antics. To top the night off the pub provide a free barbecue not quite a Minehead Welly breakfast but still welcome. We crashed at Gav's house and the next morning woke up to find eveything snow covered, so there was snow fights and then we got a lift back home where I took the photos. Tomorrow I am catching the plane so my next entry will be slightly more exciting nd much further away. Until next time. Martin

In three different continents in one day!

... for Denver until 1:30pm, so we quickly venture out to see London again. We purchased our Tube 1 day/all zone passes and head to...oh geez, this is why you don't wait 2 plus months to finish blogging!!!! We are riding in the Underground with all the local people heading off to work. It ...

London

... the next tourist. She was out of breath so I was guaranteed some quiet time. Understand at the Golden Gallery is not very large. Next tourist was up a few min later, but she was so tired, she did not want to stay up very long. I was ready to head down as more people started to show. The 2 ladies let me go 1st down the stairs. I was tearing down, reached the Stone Gallery, went to exit out the door and...it was bloody locked. I started back up the stairs ...

London - what a diverse place...

... with special hydraulic equipment, in order to lift up the train from the tracks, enabling them to get someone out from under a train. Apparently, they do have people who fall through the gap between the train and the platform and have to perform this delicate operation with this equipment. This time however, the fall was not an accident and would have left the driver and many passengers in severe shock. Not to mention causing a huge disruption to the ...

YOU CAN NEVER GET LOST WHEN YOU'VE NOWHERE TO GO

... good reading, good cooking. 2. Passekudah, Sri Lanka. The best beaches, and the best seafood. Bar none. 1.  Cherrapunji, India. Women of Meghalaya have taken over. Plus stunning scenery and the best breakfasts ever! OK, that's all ... we're off to plan the next one. This is likely to be the last e-mail clogging up your inboxes for some time. But just remember that you're never alone with Maureen & Derek; Vernon & Ethel; or even Bob & Terry ...
