This evening's concert was most definitely the musical highlight of the tour. The Opera House as you will have seen in yesterday's post was beautiful and worthy of its significant reputation. The audiences here are clearly knowledgeable and responded in an unfailingly positive way to our programme.

The acoustic in the Opera House is the most live that the band has played in, so much so that we had to move out of ...

Guangzhou is a truly ginormous city – the 6th largest in the world with a population of just under 14 million. The density of the apartment living is quite astounding and we feel like we are in the REAL madness of China now. Soon once we arrived, returning foreign teachers met with their old friends and we soon had a party of ten to fifteen people. The other teachers came from all over, but from what I remember there was a man from Philippines, another from Australia, and a women from Jamaica. Later that night, after a few dollars of beer, ...

... Nanhai Primary Experimental School, is a private school, and one of the nicest in all of Foshan. There are four to five main buildings on campus, one of which is a dorm, and they are architecturally set up so that the space between them make for an inviting, open concept space. The only qualm I’d have, is the track is about half the size back home. By default, the river walk will have to do. As a bit of compensation, the school does provide me with three free meals a day. ...
