... marathons, and all of the assorted activities that are perpetrated outdoors, outdoor sports is a huge category.
Each activity has a set of rules for injury prevention. For instance, if you are a scuba diver, there are unique concerns for which you must be aware, such as how long you spend underwater and at what depth, rapidly you ascend from the depth, which marine animals to avoid, and so forth. There isn't enough space in this ...
... when our opinions changed of china, Brad forgot t put his pen knife in his hand luggage, so the lady working for China airways called the back back to the desk so brad could put his knife int he luggage. We should have checked then if we had anything else we are unable to take through to departures. Unfortunately we ended up losing suncream and hand sanitizers.
The flight to Haikuo is meant to take 55 minutes but only took 40 minutes including landing
and take off ...
Well my house hunting is still in vain, I saw 2 new places on saturday both not good the first was just awful and the second was with a strange French guy so they were both a big no no. I have managed to join a gym as well, I am now a member of the Chinese Athletic Association which means I can join there gym. It is not as nice as some of the other gyms in town but it is alot cheaper and you dont get hassled by all the sales staff ...
Hong Kong, Hong Kong richardcowley... the end of the night we were all embroiled in an international arm-wrestling contest. I also learned a new Chinese insult! In Shanghai, the water delivery man told me to call Sam huai le, or bad man. Now I can call him a huai dan, or bad egg! Apparently this is worse in Chinese.
We ended up leaving at around one, and fell right into bed when we returned to Kowloon. Our whirlwind tour of Hong Kong would definitely have been incomplete without Lan Kwai Fong- it comes highly recommended!
... countries and so wanted to safeguard myself against that kind of experience as much as possible. I bought a belt (cuz my pants were kinda falling down) and then surfed the net for a while before getting a quick bite to eat before boarding call. We all boarded our flight to Bombay-Mumbai without incident. The flight took off at 2:20 PM and I had settled into watching the movie 'Changeling' starring Angelina Jolie. Some 40 minutes into the flight ...

Hong Kong, China travelfitz... evening very tired. Finding our hostel was a bit confusing but we got there in the end and my huge bags were surprisingly comfortable. The room was as expected, basic and teeny tiny! After dropping off our bags we went for a mooch around Mongkok and found a place to eat - the ...
Hong Kong, China claramon... ex pats, who were sitting on the roof of their tower block. In the night air we could see the lights of Hong Kong around us but still masked by the pollution in the air. We chatted and enjoyed the company and barbecue until after 1am and then set off back to our hotel by taxi, arriving sometime after 2. Sunday 12th October Harry had arranged for us to have brunch, so it was up before 9 and then on the (right) MTR back to the Gold Coast, where we met at the Gold Coast Hotel at 1130. The ...
Hong Kong, China harryandnorah... after eating so many rice and noodles dishes which are so common here in China. The next day we met up with Wing Hei and Michael, and some of his family, and we enjoyed a luxurious few hours at the Carnival Club, a high end spa/Chinese bathhouse. We have visited others in China, but this was easily the most extravgant and luxurious. We relaxed with some foot and body massages, and also a bath in one of the numerous tubs (this is the mens section -womens only ...
Shenzhen, Guangdong, China jon-daniella... most expensive goods in the store, but otherwise offer little by way of service. You should remember that if one of the staff is escorting you, another 3 are probably watching them escort you around. Go to a restaurant and there is a hierarchy of employees like you wouldn't believe. Many restaurants employ 3 or 4 pretty girls to stand outside the front door in traditional Chi Pau dresses or satin ball gowns. Their job is to attract and show people in off the street ...
