Today (23.11) we went to Lantau by ferry to see the giant Buddha. Amazing islands everywhere. It is mind blowing how many islands there are and how green they all are. The rest of the train journey was reasonably uneventful and quiet. Tried to start up a conversation with the boy in our cabin when we discovered that he knew a little English, but it didn't go anywhere, so we just read, looked out the window at the scenery, slept, and ate.
