... I can find to describe it is when you walk into a pet store. That fishy....dried leather sort of smell. It was exactly like that.

... Having said that, the main sights were swarming with crowds – but other areas, equally pretty, were almost empty. I stumbled across a small music festival in one of the old Portuguese squares; there was not another tourist in sight. Other tourists are weird. The giant casinos were a cool contrast, particularly the Venetian (complete with a replica Grand Canal).

Next stop: Shanghai!

... walking. The path took us through Hong Kong Park, which is the HK version of Central Park, but way more beautiful. We passed a bird aviary, a conservation center and a large lake with a waterfall and filled with huge coy and lots of turtles. It was one of the nicest parks we have ever seen.
