... the tram back down and then walked over to the worlds longest (800m) covered outdoor people mover, in other words, escalators and travelators. These took you from the lower street level up to the top. They weren't all the way but would have them in sections and you would cross the road or follow the walkway to the next one. ... enough, and for my weary few readers, I'll stop here. The main thing you need to take away from this is: appreciate the damn country for once. Appreciate the fact that strangers don't treat you like aboslute ****, and that they handle your packages (for the most part) with care and deliver it efficiently, despite being paid next to nothing. Appreciate that strangers will refund you over the internet when you have complaints, even if you don't have the receipt sometimes ...

... Martin got a seat a few stops further along and eventually we got to sit together. Travelling by tram is really rather slow, and we were mesmerised by the rain, steamy windows and looking out of the window.
