got the overnight bus up here, it wasn't the worst we've been on or the best for that matter, managed to sleep for a few hours on and off. We left Quy Nhon and the lovely Barbara on the 9am train and spent a peaceful 4 hours in our own soft sleeper carriage, playing cards and reading on the way to Nha Trang. We were met by 2 motorbikes from the hotel - but I bottled it before we hopped on with our massive rucksacks, the scars from the last motorbike accident are still pink and life's too precious to hop on a random motorbike with a 25kg backpack - so we got a cab for 80p ! The night bus from Hoi An to Nha Trang was definitely a trip to remember! Initially it looked as thought it could be quite a comfortable ride. The bus was about 60% full and we both had a double seat to ourselves and the seats reclined. It took us about an hour to realize that this could be another sleepness night. It wasn't technically a bus journey from hell but it wasn't pleasant. The An Phu bus to Nha Trang turned up late, the guy on the bus took peoples tickets away so we were delayed for longer while people kicked off and it was sorted out. The bus was, as usual, packed but we didn't get lumbered with the back row seats, which was an improvement. There's not really much point writing two seperate entries for Nha Trang and Mui Ne, all we did at either was lie on the beach or by the pool, we deserved it. After the shambolic bus journey from Ninh Binh to Hue we opted for the train to get to Nha Trang. It's actually a lot easier to sleep sitting up on a train than it is lying down on a bus. Today we went snorkeling around two islands off the coast of Nha Trang near Vin Peal island. On our way back we wanted to dock in the fishing village. We'd already pulled into a small floating dock with live fish (and a small shark!) swimming in small netted areas in the grid. We could buy the fish and have it transported to the land where it would be cooked for us - however it was over priced at 400,000 D per kg (in hindsight perhaps not too bad by our standards).
