... effects of reaching a ripe old age setting in, Jimmy played with gusto, correcting my mistakes and setting down his own fiddle every few minutes for a little break while I played the tune in question back to him. For over an hour we played jigs, reels, polkas, hornpipes... And at the end, as always, I was disappointed to leave, but renewed with enthusiasm filled by the magic of sharing music with a master of his instrument.
... concentration. I found it helped to sit in the car for a moment before heading out, and everytime remind myself "Left side of the road". Second, is driving on the right side of the car. For the first few days, this lead to a tenancy to drift to the left side of the road (we had a system where Mel would pay attention, and calmly say "Veer" everytime I got close to a ditch or wall!)- I am guessing that this is because of where I (as driver) am ...
Wexford, County Wexford, Ireland gorchuk... be near the water. The GPS lead us through the village and back out into the country. I started to get nervous. I thought we were getting lost. We turned a few times and then headed down a rather narrow track that seemed to get more narrow as we got closer to the water. The track was fairly long and we passed only three or four houses along the way. Finally on the left we saw the gates into the O'Leary ...
Rosslare, County Wexford, Ireland dsmcc... run wild. Matt eventually went upto the kids and asked them to let everyone else sleep, the little girl said sorry but the little **** of a boy poked his tongue out and went ha ha - I could have smashed his little Irish face in!
We arrived in Pembroke at about 1am and we drove to another dark street and slept for a few hours the names of their streets and towns are so weird in Wales, this one was called Heol-Y-Sheet... how funny.
(Grrr the leprechauns got into the wifi last night just before I was about to post this....)
Ok, I've been a whole week without internet and I've got some serious withdrawals going on!
I got just enough of a hit on the ferry to keep me going (yeah, fancy that, the ferry from Fishguard to Rosslare had free wifi access!), but I'm nearly better now - I'm set-up in the reception area at the hotel and I'm much happier now I've had email access and added some photos to the blog. (And ...

Wexford to Bunratty, Ireland girlygirl1226... only really necessary in Laos and Cambodia. Visited the amazing Cu Chi tunnel complex, a pocket of Vietcong resistance just 40km from Saigon, and started to wonder how the USA ever thought it could defeat the Vietcong outright. The Americans lost thousands of troops trying to destroy this 250km complex, which had schoolrooms, rudimentary hospitals and even rooms for newlyweds. The VC dug tunnels under US bases to hide from carpet bombing and steal supplies. They deterred sniffer dogs ...
Kilmuckridge, Wexford, Ireland mark.sinnott... in all the mud puddles), Blackwater and Curracloe, about 7 km outside Wexford. So wet, I actually had to switch to the fingerless gloves. My poor little fingers were like little raisins in the full gloves. Hmm, now I have two pairs of wet gloves. What better excuse than to stay an extra night in Wexford? I loved Wexford. It was this beautiful little town, all cozy and quaint-like from the moment I crossed the bridge, and ventured onto the huge ...
Wexford, County Wexford, Ireland booby... by the hire car company to get us out of the airport car park coming to a fee of €48, the unclear route signs heading south out of Dublin towards County Wexford leading me to take a slightly convoluted course, the struggle to find a pub still serving food at 9pm in the town of Arklow, and then when we did chance upon one finding out they didn’t have my first, second, third, fourth or fifth choices ...
Rosslare, County Wexford, Ireland troywilkinson... 33 right now and 17 critically injured and hundreds more injured in some way or another. They are still investigating at the bomb sites as to if it was suicide bombers or not. And they haven't confirmed if it really was Al Queda terrorists...all they have to go by right now is a claim on a website known for Al Queda Gihad in Britian. Hopefully by the time we get to London next week Wednesday it will be all sorted...we praise ...
