... for mum to experience some of these wonderful things first hand. Mum and Dad have travelled this 8 months with me through photos, endless skype phone calls and my daily viber updates- they have bailed me out when I have run low on funds, and have cheered me up when I have been homesick or poorly. I couldn't ask for more supportive, lovely and amazing family and indeed friends which is why going home for me will not be a chore as it is ...

Today we embarked on a boat trip to see the 12 islands lying around the Aegean coastline. We were instructed to wait at the side of the main road to be collected for the trip between 10.30 and 10.45, but true to Turkish timings and following an anxious phone call to the excursion company by my mum, we were collected just before 11. ... to a nearby cafe, had a couple of cappuccinos and did some more writing. I sat and enjoyed the sea breeze and the relaxed Turkish way of life of teas and chitchat. I walked back to my hotel hoping to either nap or suntan by the pool, but instead decided I wanted to continue to read my blog. I was at the point where I was just arriving in Thailand. The calmness and the clarity that I felt by that point, the love I had in my heart for ...

Boating on the Bonetkoning Part 1

Not only did we have beautiful scenery and a great time with friends and family, we also learned about sailing an 82ft boat. The Bonetkoning was built in 2005 and is completely computerized and state of the art. I had no idea you could put a boat like it on auto pilot and then change its course with a mouse. We had seen pictures of the boat online but in person it was even more beautiful and very ...
