    ... It is a 400-meter arcade, the oldest shopping street in Hakata comprised of some 130 shops. We found some interesting shops where we bought some small Hakata type ornaments as well as an art print at at paper shop. We had our lunch the shopping arcade at an LA Hamburger shop.     ... arrived, we hopped onto a bus that took us to the starting point of our boat ride along the network of canals that flow through the city. It was a beautiful sunny day - perfect!     We arrived in Kumamoto yesterday after yet another comfortable bus ride. Really nice views, and at one stage we had the coast on the left hand side, with mountains on the right side. This changed as we moved into the interior, and it was mountains all the way, with quite a few tunnels, then small areas of flat fields, lots of hothouses, but not sure what was being grown.

    ... shinjuku again(one of the craziest places on earth) to get to the airport. It's full of pachinko slot arcade halls, anime characters, flashing lights and a whole lot of noise! It was horrifying to see the scale of industrialisation in Toyko. Didn't manage to capture it in a photo as the buildings and roads and bridges and factories go on for miles and miles.
