      ... Someone asked if there was fast food here - certainly American chain restaurants are all over the place in Budapest, but Godollo is too small. There is a pizza window at the train station, and I passed a window downtown selling hotdogs. We opted instead to stop at the Tesco to buy ground beef and frozen french fries so that we could end our adventure with a little taste of home in front of Lord of the Rings....

      ... had to enter. We were treated to one room of around 8 wax figures. There was a blacksmith, a soldier, a minstrel and several historical figures from the town. These wax "creatures" were incredibly entertaining, yet I couldn't shake the feeling that they were watching me from every turn.       ... flying, and cars on the roads. Obviously, this can all be done with cameras and projectors today, but imagine how astonished people were when it was revealed in 1776! Definitely worth climbing 9 stories, and a highlight of our visit.

      Across the street is the Eger Cathedral, the second biggest in Hungary. Its imposing edifice and ornate baroque interior were worth a quick visit. It had a beautiful dome, stained glass windows and the second largest organ in Hungary.

      ... making breakfasts every morning, as well as the dinners mentioned, and always with a smile. They are beautiful people who take pleasure in opening their home and in sharing what they have with us. Aranka even had little parting gifts for each of us which were so thoughtful..
